UPS hates me, i have no luck

so in july, ups broke my swr cabinet and head, it was a fiasco and was just fixed last weekend. last friday i ordered lindy fralin pickups. when they arrived today, it looked like a 300 lb man fell on the box or someone ran into a corner with it. the cover had come off of the bridge pickup and frayed the winding of the pickup. apparently ups just hates me. thankfully ive been dealing with great sellers/companies and will be apparently recieving new pickups friday or monday. i just dont understand how ups can be so careless. i just dont get it.

I'm one of those guys who overnights everything that I send. And I only use fedex. So far so good.

Sorry about your luck, though.

ha idc about that, my house is a little secluded, plus theres usually someone there as i still live at home. theyre just sick in theyre handling of packages. hye i have an idea lets punt this small box into a wall... ah jeeze. hopefully the new pups should be in by the end of the week or early next week. hopefully ill be picking up my new upright(no UPS involved) and that should chear me up and tide me over.

I had a photographic enlarger delivered by UPS a couple of years ago that had a hole in it that was so big the packing material was literally puring out of it. The driver (not our regular guy) made sure she was standing with her leg covering the hole to keep the peanuts from flowing out until she had our signature. Then she actually ran out the door to her truck and sped away! Luckily the shipper hashed it out with UPS and I was compensated for my mangeld enlarger. Needless to say, when it counts I use FedEx and when I get stuff delivered that I have no control over and I see the UPS truck roll up, I keep my fingers crossed.
Sorry about your loss...

UPS destroyed two GK 410 RBH cabs in a row. I finally got lucky on the third try, but only because the cab was shipped via a real freight company.

I've gotten to the point where I insist on a certain shipper. On my ebay transactions, I usually contact the seller and tell them that since I'm paying shipping, I want(insert name here) to ship it. If it's a company, you may want to start asking who they ship with and if you can have it shipped another way. It seems only fair if you're paying the shipping. Good luck.

thanks for the suggestion ray. i would drive to get my pikcups from rudy's myself, but i will be in rhode island for a classical orchestra thing this weekend, so i shall wait patiently for my pickups to come, hopefully undamaged.
