hey there, I was planning on buying a Tech 21 sansamp from ebay from the US . I live in the UK and I dont know much about the different power ratings for different countries so I was wondering if this was a bad idea and more trouble than its worth, or if its relatively a simple thing to get around? cheers!

What sans amp is it?

They have a number of them.

If its one of the pedal ones, you are fine.

Because:

A) 9V batteries are the same over there as here
B) The power is coverted at a transformer at the wall, so its a different plug you use, nothing internal.

Hope its a pedal one your looking at!

They use different voltageratings over there, so you either have to get a transformer, or buy it in the uk. It sucks, so many products that cost so insanely much more over here

I dont think you can then. Its apparently factory set, so i dont think its do-able.

Is it much cheaper in the US? (after adding postage + import tax, aswell as adding VAT ( 17.5% ) to the sansamp, postage and import tax?)
