Using a tuner in parallel (kind-of)

I know this isnt really a question about bass setups, more about how to setup the rest, hope this is the right area . . .


anyways, here goes

If i get an ampeg SVT II, it doesnt have a tuner out, so, instead of going

Bass -> Sansamp -> Tuner -> Amp (or vice-versa with the sans amp and tuner)

Could i use my sansamp like this

Bass
|
V
Sansamp BDDI -> Tuner (from parallel output)
|
V
Amp (from normal "coloured" output of sansamp)

I think this would work, just asking out of curiosity

Without being familiar with the SansAmp, I don't see why this would be a problem. The Parallel jack is for sending a second dry signal out, isn't it?

I don't know if it will still send to the Tuner if you bypass the SansAmp.

Other than that, no reason it shouldn't work. A tuner really doesn't care where the signal comes from, as long as it's not from a power amp... I run a tuner out the 1/4" output on my mic pre-amp I use as a DI on my AEB.
