Van Morrison

I'm actually not sure who played guitar on Van Morrison's "hit's". I assumed it was him. Anyway...he's damn good. He does a lot of really creative chordal stuff and many times the stuff he's playing create the signature riffs for his songs. I don't think he gets much recognition for being a very good and effective guitar player.

i thought van only played sax....if he does play guitar as well, he probabaly gets a lot of the chordal approach from his experience in jazz as a horn player.

I guess I thought it was him because the songs riffs just couldn't be invented by anybody other than the writer. Does he not write his own songs maybe?

I've played a bunch of shows with his daughter Shana lately. I am still waiting to meet "the Voice". He's awesome.

Thanks, I consider myself very much so. The shows are a bluesy pop blast. We did Albany NY 2 months ago-ish openning for Rare Earth & the Animals....THAT was a treat.

Oh man...I am SO jealous. Not many people can say they did that.
