Vancouver setups

Can anyone recommend a shop that'll do a good set up on a Jazz bass?
I just bought a bass for my daughter in Vancouver and I'd like her to take it to a good place.

Thanks

I'll be happy to set it up for you (her). PM me if interested.

Other than that, there's Long & McQuade or Tom Lee Music... but don't consider this an endorsement from me. I've never had setups done at either (have done my own for over 25 years now.

Paul Iverson via NJAM on Granville near Broadway. I think you know the place right? Not Just Another Music Store is the full name. It's in the book. Google Paul's name and you'll see why he's recommended.

It'd be best if she takes it to someone like Xavier, or I'm glad to do it as well, so she can see how it's done and learn to do it her herself. Big part of a setup is to get it set up the way you like it. Hard to get that kinda of service anonymously via a music store or whatnot.

Good luck.

Thank you very much for the replies. I really appreciate it. I just bought a MIM Precision Special from another TB'r for a very good price, knowing he has difficulty doing set ups. I just want the bass st up so it's playable, even it means going to lighter low tension strings if necessary. She has her own bass here, and has access to dad's assorted basses.

I really appreciate it.
