venues in california

hey everyone,

my band is planning a mini couple of month tour early next year and we are going to be slumming it, just playing every night etc.

We are from Australia and will not be able to bring many people to shows but hope to be hooked up with local bands.

Could people please list their fav venues anywhere in so-cal.

Sunset Strip alone you've got The Whiskey, the Roxy, Key Club, Knitting Factory, House of Blues, Viper Room, and a ton of others I'm probably forgetting.

Chain Reaction - Anaheim, California
Showcase Theatre - Corona, California
Knitting Factory - Hollywood, California

Those are three good all ages venues that will usually hook up touring bands in Southern California.

Of course check out Gilman in Berkeley, it's pretty much the most legendary punk rock venue in California.
