Venues for original alternative prog rock in FL

Hey guys,

I'm researching new venues for my band to play outside of the Tampa Bay area (currently looking in, but not limited to, St Augustine/Jacksonville/Daytona). If anyone has any suggestions of places to contact, places to avoid, places that will pay us $500 and promise a draw of 500+ in the middle of nowhere, etc, I'd be eternally grateful.

BTW - we're a 5pc original act, ranging from light to heavy rock, and you can hear our live tunes here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fight...09344399132137. We're recording our first EP with Brett Hestla Productions in less than a month, so we'll have some much better material up soon.

Cafe Eleven in St Augustine looks like a great venue. They have a show coming up with Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

I friended the owner of this site on FB a couple days ago...looks like a great resource for finding new bands and/or venues. You should check it out and submit your bands info:

I'm from Jax and can get you roughly 100 people and a couple hundred dollars. If you can get us a show, I'd love to gig swap

Lol. Sorry - I was making fun of a post in the Bass Humor and Gig Stories about a fictitous gig that paid $500, promised 500 people and was out in the middle of nowhere...

Just looking for some original music venues to contact in your area...if you can toss out some names of decent venues I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'd be willing to do a gig swap if you're in our genre. Do you have a link to you bands music you can post (or PM to me)?

You guys might check out Monkey's Uncle in the Pablo Plaza off 3rd. I've been there a couple times and they've had live music. I'm from Davenport, it's not a regular stop for me...but they've had some interesting bands when I've seen them.

Someplace else you might want to try is Kitty O'Shea's in Lake Buena Vista (near Orlando).
