Hi everybody.
I was asked to arrange a medley of Super Mario Bros' most famous tunes for a trombone quartet in one of the universities I work with. I was suggested some versions found on YouTube for transcribing but, since the slide trombone is an instrument I like so much, I want to try my own version. The thing is, I want to record the audio from the video game using my sound card (I have the NES emulator), but my avid video game player days are gone and I can't spend time trying to reach all the worlds to capture the music. Is there a cheat to jump directly to any world? Thank you in advance for your input! |

Most of the time NES music is nice and clear but sometimes when there are lots of instruments harmonizing it is hard to figure out what's going on, and especially which "instrument" is playing which notes.
I don't have that game, but given its popularity you might be able to find "save states" on the internet, which are just saved files at given points in the game.
I never played it extensively but I always thought the music from the first few levels would repeat itself throughout the game ....
As you can tell, I LOVE video game music and playing video game music, especially the NES/Sega Genesis era stuff. |

I would say start there since it's easier to go back and forth on an actual track rather than go through the game.
Also the music has been compiled onto a CD. If you could get a hold of it somehow then that would help. |
