Cleaning out my grandmothers house and we came across some old vinyl records I believe were my uncles before he was killed. Hes just what I was able to fit in my car on the way home and wondering if anyone can tell if I have anything special. Dont expect much, in fact I really dont expect anything. They are all used except for 2, the Keith Richards solo album and U2 Rum album are still in the original plastic. This is just a sample, have about 100 more.

I don't see any records pictured that are very valuable since there were many of them made and condition of the vinyl and the jackets are crucial to worth as well.

However, there is one record of note listed that might be worthwhile for U.S. collectors.

The Beatles' Long Tall Sally was The Beatles' final album released exclusively in Canada in mono by Capitol Records (catalogue number T 6063.)

There's a lot of awesome music on those albums. Your uncle had great music taste.

It all depends on the condition....and playing them on a good table is the ultimate test. Sometimes vinyl can look mint...but sound like crap due to improper cleaning before played when it was new...or even a crappy turntable system or setup can ruin vinyl.

Some good lookin pieces in there though. Do yourself a favor....and setup a nice turntable system and enjoy the great sonics of a true analogue disc.

Those look to be in decent condition, a few of them are regulars in the .50 / $1 bins (Aerosmith and solo Jaggar) but the Rolling Stones / Beatles / Zeppelin could fetch something nice. Not a fortune but I see them regularly for $8-12 a piece. If I were in the area I'd buy the lot from you.

^This would be my suggestion as well.

You can get the lot appraised by a vinyl shop, but most likely they will not listem 'em through and the quote will be low as a result.

There's a lot of vinyl price lists on shops and on the 'net, buy/find one and expect the price to be on the low side.

Regards
Sam
