Visiting L.A. next week..

Any shops/stores to check out.. I haven't been there in 20 years... I plan on going to visit Nordstrand, The Mesa Hollywood store and possibly Alleva Coppollo.. Is Voltage Guitars, Guitars are Us and Nadines still around.. I'll be staying near the airport.. Anybody have any cool suggestions..

LAX is a ways away from a lot of the LA music action. If you can, there are great stores in and around Santa Monica. I'd recommend West L.A. music or the GC on Sunset.

If you go to West L.A. music, stop in at the repair shack behind the store and say hi to the guitar tech, he's a cool dude and might have a neat instrument or two.

Amoeba Records you can easily spend a couple of hours in there.

There is also the Bass Exchange/Amp Shop in the Valley. They are the official Aguilar reps in the area.
