Vocal Effects

I'm the bass player/singer in our band. For vocals I'm using the TC Helicon Create. I've used this for over a year and I'm just not digging it that much. Does anyone have any other suggestions on a vocal effect box? Thanks.

What are you wanting it to do? I have a digitech Vocal 300, it has some really nifty sounds it does...I use 1. More of a toy but if your looking for alot of just really off the wall sounds you might check one out.

Thanks for the reply Sizlak. I'm not looking for anything with real off the wall sounds. Just something to add some reverb, etc. and maybe some compression. I'll look at the Digitech one.

Anyone with any other suggestions?

Vocal 300

I have a Digitech vocal 300. It has lots of useless sounds but also has very good reverb and room settings. Easy to get the sound you want. I just use the sound I like and it works great.
It is not a pro type unit but I would not call it a toy.
Very quiet and easy to use.

Generally for a new band with vocals I'm in, we've been using single effects instead of multi. Boss DM-2 is amazing on vocals; reverb; then distortion from those cheap ART tube preamps that send the proper XLR connection to the board.

I haven't used it, but the new EHX voice box looks interested... might be too vocoder/auto tune focused though. We don't go for that live.

Thanks Megadan. I'll check those out too.
