Pretty cool spin on it... felt the formula was a nice twist on Rockstar Supernova type shows...

And then it hit me, that's Sasha from the Rockstar Supernova house band... then I find out the keyboardist and drummer are the same too.

I've always loved this group of musicians, they can play ANYTHING well.

It is opposite day for me. It was the opposite of Rockstar. Among these shows Rockstar was unique in that it never claimed to be about "the best voice" but rather that the band either INXS or the supergroup would pick the best fit.

And that gimmick with the blind first cut, was it just for the first show? We already have the dime bios of the cast so now I guess we go into the America Idol/Got Talent.....clone mode.

I'm undecided about the show. Turned the channel to the NHL playouffs when my wife left the room. But you play on Broadway and can audition for this show? I don't tlhink that's fair.

The show was very popular in Holland. The blind auditions were fun, but after the auditions it's basically just another singing contest. It was still a good watch because they allowed anyone to compete, not just amateurs so the. level of musicianship was higher than you normally see on these shows.

I caught the replay. With actual working singers at least the audition phase was better then Idol's freak show weeks. Besides the judges being coaches and actually lobbying for their team when the audience starts voting I can't see what the difference with American Idol/Got Talent...etc will be. With Dancing With The Stars and American Idol finished perhaps the Entertainment news programs will continue with the tradition of interviewing the vanquished singer every week.
