This really sucks. Piggy was a great guitarist, the metal world will miss him greatly. Rest in peace.

I had the same reaction!

Piggy makes me want to play guitar, The Outer Limits completely redefined metal guitar for me. Total genius... he will be greatly missed.

being from montreal I saw voivoid in concert a few times 20/30 times
I even onced jammed with piggy once.

Bad news indeed (there's already a thread about that).

I had the chance to see them opening for Ozzy (with Mr. Newsted) and it was a real treat, even if I caught only their last two songs.

R.I.P. Piggy, we'll remember you through your music.

I wonder if the rest of the Voivod crew will go on, but it seems very unlikely. Piggy was at least half of the creative force behind the band.

I doubt it too... Piggy is at least half the creative force, but he's at least 75% of their sound. Voivod sounds like Voivod because of Piggy.
