Volunteers to help test a website please...

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm rather dissatisfied with the current crop of "musicians wanted" websites, so I thought I'd code a new one... the idea being that it's greatly simplified compared to the likes of Craigslist, Musofinder, etc, with almost everything happening on one page with some groovy "web 2.0" features.

So, basically, I need a few volunteers to help me test it - it's live (albeit in beta form), and you can visit it at www.muzos.info - there's localisations for the UK, Ireland and the US right now, and I'll add more countries later if it actually takes off.

Please let me know about any feedback you might have on it, or any errors you might come across.

I only tested it briefly because I have class soon but everything seemed to be working out fine. Nice site there.

Cheers!

I've just done some stuff to make it "mashable" - you can get results and locations now via a SOAP XML request, so, if there's anyone out there who knows how to write Google Maps mashups, you could display all found musicians from a certain area on a Google Map... this could be a killer app for my site, I reckon!

Just had to laugh at the first ad I saw - "fast as **** guitarists wanted"

Site seems to be working great - very slick and easy to use.

Very nice application!! Straight forward and to the point. What more can you ask for! I couldn't find any bugs, other than no "Bassist Wanted" ads. lol...

Best of luck with this!!!

I've just added a very basic Google Maps integration for the US version (I can't make UK postcodes work with the geocoder yet)... it works, sort of...

(to make it work, you have to search by state, by the way... )

... and the two new localised versions (USA and Ireland) can now be found at us.muzos.info and ie.muzos.info .

I want more suggestions! I'm on a roll with this!
