Walking Bass Play Alongs. Recommendations please !

I've being learning walking bass and was wondering could anyone recommend a good play along cd. Most cd's I've seen are part of an instruction pack. Ideally it would be a trio, and you could isolate the bass if necessary.

Drop some $$ on the cheap version of band in the box and you can plug in whatever chord progression you want.

Jamie Abersold play along CDs are an essential. They provide rhythm section backing for soloists to practice, but are also used by rhythm sections as the bass can be removed by selecting the left or right channel.

Great for everything from basic blues, ii-V-I turn-arounds, standard tunes, etc.

As well, +1 on the Band in a Box.

This free, down-loadable software can make any song on your computer a bass "play-along"!
BestPractice - easy to use, slow downer/pitch shifter/looper/vocal remover/bass isolator/bass backing track maker

Cannonball Adderly record called "something else" is a great record to play along with!
Not necessarily a play-a-long per say, but this record clarified a lot of things for me. Transcribed all of Autumn leaves bassline off this one, and it really taught me a lot. It's not too difficult either. Clear tone and wonderful walking lines provided by the great Sam Jones. Can't say enough about this one!

It you use it with a good E.Q., it can isolate the bass very well.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

One other thing about Best Practice software, if you slow down a song by half and raise the pitch an octave, the bass is usually easier to hear.
