Hello TB World,

I have just added a new demo on my bands myspace. The newest track is called "Sight Fails Me". It was recorded at home with an electronic drum kit but it is still worth a listen. The other two tracks are older but proper studio tracks, the first of which has been played on BBC Radio 1 in the UK and WKQX FM in Chicago.

Feedback welcome...

My Critiques:
The drums don't feel very solid. It is especially obvious on the botched snare roll. I also think the vocals could use some more work.

Musically, I'd rather listen to your influences than your band. Also, I think the structure of the song could use a little work. Basically it sounds like a couple of very long verses, which would be fine if the length added to the tension, but honestly it doesn't. There is no building tension and no release to speak of, so the long verses just seem like an attempt to make the song longer. Maybe a bridge or a breakdown could add interest to the song.

Peace,
Adam

Well I dont necessarily agree with all your opinions but thanks for being honest. As I said it is a home recorded demo... the other two track are better played, produced etc.

Apologies for posting in the wrong place, please feel free to move this thread Mr Admin.

Not bad.... the Sibling one made me think of Michael Nyman sitting in with a bar band.

Might check the vocals on the sustained pitches.
