Waterproof gigbags?

Do they exist? I'm often walking in the rain with my bass, and while the bass stays dry, I end up with a soggy bag. A double bag would also be plus.

Use either Camp Dry or Scotch Guard waterproofer. Two coats with either of these spray on coatings, and your problem is solved. Follow the directions for application. This stuff is used for tents, backpacks, awnings, etc. It does work!

HI

My Sadowsky incase came with a zipper skin that covers the bag for rain or long transport, like a nice golfbag cover. I cant remember if my newer Sadowsky has the same cover

Hobo look, I was thinking more of a " Jaco look", Lord rest his soul.

I've used Scotchguard for years. It is not a waterproofing treatment, but it is a liquid/stain repellant. It'll be safe to spray on 99.9% of the fabrics and materials gig bags are made of (do not spray on leather) and will do a good job of making the material much more liquid/water repellant than it was before the treatment. The treatment is not permanent and will have to be re-applied from time to time. Overall a good idea, but not as waterproof as a garbage bag...

Jerry has the answer, camp dry. It's for waterproofing tents and camp gear.I've used it on tents before and it works great,I'm going to do my gig bag with it.They sell it at sporting goods stores.

I have a Warwick Rockbag that came with my Corvette and ti claims to be waterproof. The material it is made of sure seems like it might be but I have never tested it.

I wasn't referring to plain Scotchguard, but instead to their waterproofing spray.

i have a rockbag too, the things are built like tanks, and i have walked in heavy rain with it, and it never gets through. the padding is super thick also, with plenty of pockets. i highly reccomend them. i think mine ran like 60 bucks.
