I know this band doesn't get a ton of credit really anywhere. If you listen to the Crash of '47 album you will hear some of the best rock drumming on any album I have ever heard (yes including Tool etc.)

This band didn't make it real big. There is a back story if you want to read on the wiki about how Derek (singer) left and was replaced yada yada.

Here is the reason I posted this. If you were a fan of Atomship (or Watership Down before and/or now) Derek posted on their Facebook page the last song they wrote together before Nathan passed away. They are supposedly working on an album as well.

Catchy tune. I think the lyrics have matured greatly over the Crash of '47 stuff. Derek has the songwriting skills of say someone like Jeremy Enigk now, edgy, not a common style, but after a few listens it catches on and sticks with you. Check out some of his solo stuff or the song "Come Back".

Anyway here is the youtube link for the last song they wrote with Nathan:

Watership Down - Silhouette (Unreleased)(Nathan, Chad & Derek) - YouTube

And the song "Come Back" while working in the studio (you get to see the drummer Chad Kent do his magic. Ignore the auto tune on the vocals, it was only for drum tracking purposes acccording to their facebook page(scratch vocals).

Watership Down - Come Back - YouTube

And Derek doing a song called "Down Here" solo that gives that Jeremy Enigk feel to me anyway. I think it's very well written song:

Watership Down / Derek Pardoe - Down Here (Live Recording?) - YouTube

If you can't tell they are working on a new album and I am stoked lol.
