Saw them last night at Massey Hall and I have three words for you. BLEW MY MIND. How can someone create music that so far apart but yet so close together? I mean the thing was of the wall, can Jazz get any better?
The whole band did an outstanding job, Pianist Danilo Perez, Bassist John Patitucci and Drummer Brian Blade held their own. I can't find the words to explain that particular performance. I didn't know it was going to be that good, and I didn't buy a CD

Beyond the Sound Barrier. Was anybody else at the performance? No wonder the Weather Report was so good, Shorter is Legendary. After the performance the only thing that was going trough my mind was that there was magic involved. Some licks played sounded like they were beyond the boundaries of music. All I can say is that these guys are virtuosos, and that they love music.
