It's not really a piece of bass gear, but at the moment the most investment-returning piece of gear I own is a Boss BR-800 multi-track recorder. I'm currently mixing a bunch of rough demos of the band with it, and for one-takers that were recorded in one afternoon they're sounding great. I highly recommend that anyone in a band that intends to make recordings on any level invest in a similar device, as they're great for capturing useable inspiration when it strikes. I'm thinking of doing our first EP with it because all it will take is the time to get some proper takes.

And yes, I'm aware that this is probably a joke thread.

Kind of a silly question. They all matter if you need them- and you'd be SOL if you were in any situation where you only got to choose one.

In context to what? Metal?

Which bass? J or P?

My cuff-style wristwatch. It makes me look like a badass, and tells me the correct time, in large, friendly numbers. Not like that effeminate gold thing I wear to my corporate lackey job.

What was the question, again?
