well? on the 17th i finally got to see the master himself, george clinton, at westbury. was no more than 30 feet from him. close enough (seriously) to smell the pot he was smoking onstage. he played so late that they shut off the stage lights and turned on the house lights, and turned off the PA. half the band packed up before george left the stage. without a doubt, the best concert ive ever seen. 15+ people on that tiny little stage at all times, so filthy nasty slimy skanky dirty FUNKY.
well, what was the best show you ever saw?

Before that, probably Tom Waits at the Ritz in Memphis, on the Small Change Tour, 1977.

Nine Inch Nails - Fragility 2.0 Tour
Nine Inch Nails/Marilyn Manson - Downward Spiral Tour
Rush - Vapor Trails Tour
Toad The Wet Sprocket - Dulcinea Tour
The Cure - Wild Mood Swings Tour
2 Skinnee J's - Farewell Tour
MxPx - Slowly Going The Way Of The Buffalo Tour
Confederate Fagg/Teabag & The Confederosexuals - just about any show they play
Korn/Staind - 1999/2000 tour
Three Rivers Music Fest - Three Dog Night and George Clinton & The P-Funk Allstars on the same stage
Probably my favorite of all time though was Hard Rock Rock Fest in Atlanta, GA in 1999-Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Third Eye Blind, Silverchair, Taxiride, New Radicals, Offspring, Sugar Ray, Everlast, Better Than Ezra, Collective Soul, Eve 6, & Marvelous 3 all in one day-I had free tickets & all access passes thanks to my mom signing up for a cell phone plan. She had never heard of any of the bands playing, and asked my brother and I if we wanted the tickets she won.

A bunch of skinny white guys from the Isle of Man that played the most amazing blues I have ever heard. I was about 5 feet from the stage and they tore it up it was amazing. Shame it was a festival and they only got about a 40 minute set. |

Not only the best concert but the best time of my life, right after my last year of school and exams finished. We had a whole group of friends there too. The vibe you got there was like nothing else. |

My 2 favorite concerts that I attended are Cannibal Corpse (w/ Dying Fetus and Necrophagist) and Dream Theater (w/ Joe Satriani and King's X). |

im also seeing bela fleck & the flecktones this december!

Police in '82 and The Butthole Surfers in '87 were really good, too.

Iron Maiden. Last month in Columbia, MD.
Before that, an AC/DC show that I saw in Birmingham, AL about... um... 20 years ago. (That can't be right, can it?) |

But I saw them in concert back in 98 I believe at the 9:30 Club in DC which is a smaller Venue and it was a killer show. Scott Bannevich was on bass I believe.
Unbelievable how good they sounded live. |

But the best, for me, was Tower of Power back in '87 or '88. My whole band (R&B and blues band) went, and after none of us could even talk - we just went back to the rehearsal room and played until like 4 am. It was prolly 2 am before we even said anything.
That was phenomenal.

1. The Fall Of Troy w/ Foxy Shazam, the Dear Hunter, and Tera Melos
2. The Black Keys
3. Robben Ford w/ Larry Carlton
4. Chris Duarte
5. Scott Holt
There's some other good ones, but those are the ones that jump off the top of my head.
