So I am grabbing my 8x10 from my friends house and started thinking who to call to move this thing. Trucks are obvious but theres some cars that actually fit these them. Anybody know of some good ideas? Ive got an 03' Nissan Sentra and a 91' Camaro. I havent tried getting it in the camaro but I know ive stuffed alot in that car so maybe itll fit.

I drive a silverado crew cab truck, which would be great, if it wasn't raining, like it is today. I'm hoping it's gonna fit into the back seat.

Either way, i hope you have help, because hauling big cabs in a car w/o help sucks so bad. I just barely fit my Ampeg 2x15 in the back of my Civic, and it has taken me almost 20 minutes to unload it without help if it gets wedged in at a strange angle.

It's a lot cheaper to buy a different cabinet that fits your vehicle, than the other way around.
Your Camaro is a definite no-go. Matter of fact I drive a mid-sized SUV (Mitsubishi Outlander) and I'm not even sure an 8x10 would fit in that.

He had the passenger seat permanently removed and that's where the kick drum went and that's how he made it work.
Didn't do much for him on the dating scene, though. |

In any event... hella lift to get the thing up that high, though, I would think. |

that said, back when i was 18 or so i had a peavey 2x15 cab and a 72 lemans. the cab wouldn't fit even in that boat! I had to borrow my dad's truck for all my gigs. Later on i had an SWR 410. fit in just about any car but sometimes oddly. one day i broke my nissan sentra's windshield with it.
Station wagons were my gigmobiles of choice (and still are) but purchasing a car based upon my equipment got old. very old. That's one of the reasons why i almost always reccomend multiple small cabs in the amps forum. (ditto for one of the reasons i don't like combo amps, especially the big ones)
anyhow, truck or station wagon seems the best choice. My old 1988 honda civic wag-o-van was ugly as sin, but boy could you put stuff in that thing! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
