I think Samuel Jackson would be a bass player even though his upright 'playing' wasn't so great in "Johnny Suede".

used to perform in Florida, and actually _did_ run into Johnny Depp playing bass once or twice, pre-big-time.
Not that they're best friends, or anything, but hey, it's kinda cool

I'm pretty sure Michael Cera plays bass. He actually played in a band in Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist. I thought it was a pretty cool film.
