Got any cool posters or cool little knick knacks?

Smashing Pumpkins poster from 1996. One of my favorite bands.

Meredith Andrews poster. A great singer I played guitar for this past week at our church.

This one is a picture I made for an art competition. They criticized the graininess, when that was the effect I was going for. I was trying for a photo that looked about a hundred years old, to reflect the age of those old stumps. I titled it "Old Fellas."

And this next poster is one my aunt bought me, for the guitar room years ago. In the old place, I had no room, so I finally got it hung up.

One of my favorites, too.
Except that those shows didn't wind up happening, due to Jonathan dying, and Jimmy being thrown out of the band as a result (on my birthday, no less!)

Not quite as large as the original (10 feet) but I had this printed at a large format print shop. One of my favorite paintings for inspiration.

If you're ever in Boston, go to the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum and see it in person....it is BREATHTAKING.

It's "El Jaleo" by John Singer Sargent.

This is a shot as it hangs in the museum. It's enormous...12 feet x 8 feet.

My Bass Room

Here are 2 things hanging in my bass room. My old Beatles poster I bought in 1964. My autographed napkin from Paesano's Restaurant here in San Antonio, signed by Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker on New Years Eve right before he fought Julio Cesar Chavez to a draw (Pernell was robbed!). My wife and I sat ringside for the fight in the Alamodome.

My Bass Room

Two more things hanging in my bass room. My autographed copy of Trapeze "Medusa", signed by Mel Galley, Dave Holland and Glenn Hughes. Mel wrote: "To Pat, You Were There." This was a reference to a story I told him about the night I saw them in Odessa, Texas, on their first US tour. The night they played in Odessa, Mel's first child was born back in England and Glenn announced the birth to the crowd before their encore. Mel couldn't believe I remembered that. I told him, "Man, I was there." That conversation began an email correspondence that went on for years. I'm proud of the fact that I was able to send him many concert photo's I had taken of him and Trapeze over the years. He was able to see roadies he hadn't seen in years. It made him happy right before he passed in July of last year. I still haven't framed the other thing: Steven Tyler's set list, complete with footprints, from Aerosmith's last show here in San Antonio at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre. ClearChannel just sold and demolished the Verizon 2 weeks ago, so I don't know where we're going to see 15,000 seat concerts anymore! What a shame. We'll probably miss out on some good shows this summer due to lack of a decent mid-size venue here in San Antonio!
