Depends on the pro you speak of but the x wire is a good one and they have a pedal version which i think is a nice feature.

Edit: I meant the X2 wireless. It's "supposed" to be like the old xwire. Funny just looked the X2 up and line 6 bought them out. From what i have heard with my ears, both are pretty darn awesome.

i dont think ive ever seen anyone play through a wireless and have a good tone.

they tend to rolloff your highs and lows. nothing beats a high quality cable. unless you NEED to do some steve vai swirling and tossing of the guitar, just use a cable..

I know Uriah Duffy and several folks here speak highly of the X2 System.

MY boss used the X2 and it was not up to snuff. My Shure ULX beat it out hands down. Wich was odd since I all I heard about X2 was how great they are and I even got a chance to demo one. The ULX came to me at the opportune time so I picked it up instead. Thing rocks. And its at a freq that is still free and open.

First question would be ; what's your definition of pro?
Annual salary , technical ability , ears ?

The vast majority of good/great players I've worked with all had cables.
