A thread that was recently started concerning what talkbass has done for us members opened my eyes to the fact there are an alarming number of TB'ers out there with several thousand posts, sometimes within the span of a year.

i've had my on's and off's with browsing talkbass, but always find myself here when i'm really into my playing and bass in general. this site inspires me and gives me ideas and is a wonderful community to belong to.

now i know most of us are forced to be in front of a computer instead of a bass for the better part of the day, but in your free time...what would you say you spend more time doing - browsing this site or playing your bass?

Which do you do more?

I tend to Talkbass more...mainly out of an apathetic feeling towards the bass that I have been going through lately. I hope to change that by getting into a band.

It can go either way for me. During the summer I spend alot of time on TB. I would play more bass, but it gets boring playing the same old songs over and over again (My band can't practice cause our keyboardist is at Berkeley and theirs only 3 of us total). When I have a chance to play with a band, I enjoy bass alot more. I just seem to have an interest in bass gear that almost matches my interest in playing bass. Weird I guess.

The main reason I'm on TalkBass more than I play, is because I can get away with it a lot easier than I can get away with playing my bass while I'm at work.

TB > bassing. Seems bassackwards, sad but true.

What is this, "Intervention?"
