Hey I wanted to get my friend who is the lead singer in our band a birthday present that is coming up in a few weeks. I want to spend about $100. Anything you guys would reccommend for the guy who has everything? I was thinking about a new mic but I wasn't sure if $100 would get anything better than he has already. Which is the situation for anything else. I know he needs a new PA but again I don't think a Hamilton would cover it.

Thats always a good fall back present. A $100 bottle of whatever would probably be appreciated.
Unless he doesn't drink. |

:-)
Actually only half kidding - if he's never taken lessons, then $100 lessons is just enough to really help his technique, and maybe save his voice 15 years down the line.
If he is great, and has great technique the just take this as a joke...
How about getting him a roadie for the next 5 gigs ( or however many you can negotiate). Now thats a GREAT present.

I was thinking about a pedal or something for him because I know that he wanted to do effects with his voice one time. Any suggestions in that department? Also what is the tube preamp?

I know people who use the Digitech Vocal 300, it's hit and miss but you can get some pretty decent reverbs and such.
As far as tube preamp you JUST missed a great deal on musiciansfriend..check back tommorow they seem to have vocal stuff all the time. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
