What does your instrument case smell of?

I recently got a second hand Ibanez, and the case smells horrible. Like stale cigarette smoke mixed with guitar polish or something. Whereas my Yamaha clarinet case smell of the factory, which is quite a pleasant smell.

What do your instrument cases smell of?

Mostly linseed oil, since that's what I use on my fingerboards. It pretty much overpowers any other stench.

My Steinberger's case still smells of carpet glue, since I wouldn't try to oil its fingerboard.

In the past, smells have included smoke, lawn clippings, and dust (in high enough concentration, it has a definite smell.)

Mine smelled like Fabreeze. Before that it smelled like a shoe store, "new leather" kinda smell.

Mine smelled of stinky bars (stale beer and cigarette smoke) - fixed it by quitting the band that played stinky, stale beer serving, cigarette smoke filled bars and let my case sit for a week with a half dozen fabric-softener dryer sheets inside.

Now everytime I open my case little cartoon bluebirds and butterflies fly out while some unseen entity plays a pan flute...

Not sure which was worse...

Ha! You just made me spit water on my laptop! That's the funniest thing I've seen on TB in a while.

I haven't noticed any really strong smells in either of my guitar cases, but my pedal board has the distinct odor of stale cigarette smoke when you open it (darn guitarist).
