What eBay sniper do you recommend?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am ready to pay a few dollars if needed, but I am tired of getting sniped on eBay.

Does anybody know of a good eBay sniper with a good refresh time and also that you can trust with your login and password?

Thanks a lot!!!

I never understood this problem ... If the most you want to pay is X then put X in your bid and be done. If you willing to do X+Y in the last few minutes/seconds than X was not the most you are willing to pay.

Ive never lost an auction this way myself. You just need to be truthful to yourself about how you really are willing to pay.

The problem is human.

People will see you are overbidding and, if they have enough time, just add $1 to your bid and that's it.

If the overbidding is done a couple seconds before the end of the auction, they do not have time to do that.

That's the purpose of eBay sniping.

So just BE there at the end of the auction and do your last bid.

Duh.

Everyone thinks they have to have an easier way to do something so they don't have to actually do it themselves...

Which I do, but it does not always work. eBay snipers work a lot faster than a human being.

If you are there yourself and someone else has a sniper on the auction, your chances are Null. If you use a sniper as well, your chances are a lot higher to win the auction and buy at a fair price.

There is a reason why there are eBay snipers, and a reason why people use them.

Your chances to actually win the auction, and to pay a lower price are much higher.

The question is not: "Are eBay snipers any good?"

The question is: "What eBay sniper do you recommend?"

Duh.

And there are people with stolen ebay accounts, and stolen identities, stolen bank accounts, etc whining constantly how ebay needs to be safer and how they were 'screwed'.

There is NO way I'd knowingly give my account info to anyone just to save a few bucks on ebay. If you don't understand or agree, talk to some impatient gamer type people who have stupidly given their account info to pay-to-level gaming companies to level their characters.

Nick-
I've won a few ebay auctions, but this 'sniper' thing is new to me. You actually hire someone to bid on your behalf? Do they use your settings or do you work with them after the auction is over?
Actually, I don't consider any of my ebay purchases a great bargain. I figure that I'm bidding against people who have similar interests and the item has a large degree of exposure. If I win an auction I've paid the 'highest' price of all those who were interested. It's not like wandering into a yard sales and seeing the vintage P bass for $10!

It's about bringing a gun to a gun fight, not a nail clipper.

It's just a way of getting a better deal, that's all.

I am going to use AuctionSniper.

Yes, you give your login and password, but this login and password is only used on ebay, not my paypal or anything else.

And if my password changes, I can always retrieve it by getting it reset by eBay.

I've read good stuff about this one sniper on different sites, but I just wanted to know what people recommend on here, not to be schooled like a 10-year old by someone who probably asked why people were starting to hit the strings with their thumb 25 years ago.

I highly recommend Auction Sniper. I have been using it for years. I use a 5 sec lead time...and put in the highest amount I'm willing to pay for the auction...and don't worry about it until I get an email telling me the results.

They have a cool little program you can use that is like a popup outside your browser instead of signing into their site as well.

Good luck,
BT

This type of TOMFOOLERY is why I won't bid on ebay.

How is this any different than putting in your highest bid to start with on eBay?

How are you overbidding if you bid only what you want to spend? Your bid of $100 on an item of saying starting at $10 doesnt show $100 till it reaches that amount.

eBay automatically ups each bid on item you bid on a certain amount till it hits your highest big, and then that process continues with the next highest bid. No one has the ability to know how much you bid till they have the highest bid. So if I lost an auction for $1 then I lost it for $1 more than I felt willing to pay for it.
