What exactly do you do while you play? Do you walk around, bob your head? Stand with your feet together while looking intently at your bass? Maybe you sit down?
What is it you that you do? |

Whatever's appropriate for the song, but more importantly "for the band, and venue". IMHO nothings worse than one person in a band who's a lunatic on stage and the others are zombies. |

My knees aren't what they used to be so on slow tunes I use a stool and really lock down the bottom end, getting the emphasis where it needs to be. I do get up and dance around quite a bit, but no acrobatics.

Most of our stuff I'm just weaving around, doing the occasional dip backwards or something (hard to explain the motion) but if we're playing faster songs, like "Same in the End" from Sublime, I tend to get a little crazy. I guess its the old punk rocker in me dying to get out in my groovy reggae rock band.

The most boring thing I can imagine it everyone standing in the same spot playing.
Dance monkeys. |

| | Yeah, I've got the moves like Jagger. | | Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: G.R. MI | | I stand there with my feet firmly planted (for the most part) and my eyes squeezed tightly shut (for the most part) and I bob around and make the most amazing faces (so I'm told).
When the muse strikes me, I stalk around the stage like a caged jungle cat.

I make rather odd faces, tongue hangs out. In the groove I move around a lot more. Depends on the song, style etc.

Big outdoor stages-Stand still or lumber around, being fat.
