Angry What good is insurance when shipping overseas?!

Sign in to disble this ad
I just shipped a guitar to Spain. The receiver sent pics of obvious damage (broken neck on LP). I file a claim. The next step is for the receiver to file a damage report with his local post office on that tracking number so that USPS can reconcile my claim with his damage report.

Here's the problem. His local post office refuses to file a damage report.

The claim process is stuck, buyer is complaining (rightfully so) about a broken guitar and being out money.

If I give him a full refund, then I am stuck with no guitar or money.

Has anyone else had this problem? Advice (apart from "don't ship overseas")?
