Hey guys, what is the best guitar related message board, especially for classifieds?

For classifieds you might try Harmony Central.

Doesn't exist? There's a crapload of guitar forums out there. Use Google, you'll find plenty.

ultimate-guitar.com has a very large community but its largely young teenagers so be prepared for the worst. Nothing against teenagers (me being one) but it can get a little rought at times.

guitar players are very niche oriented (a blues guy will not even look at some speed thrasher ect [in my experience]) so i can see it being very hard to keep a general forum going.

Bass players are niche oriented too. I won't read any thread that has anything to do with pop & slap, funk, effects pedals, 'off topic' or anything I have no interest in. That's why this forum has so many subforums. If everything was lumped into one forum it'd be a nightmare.

http://www.sevenstring.org is a good guitar forum, and I believe members are rated in terms of sales. It's primarily oriented towards shredders, but the community at large is a mature one I've found.

Ok thanks guys. The reason I'm asking is because my guitar player is trying to track down a fender quad reverb. I told him it'd be a bad idea because of the weight (I'll probably get stuck carrying it with him), but i guess it gives me an excuse to spring for another cabinet and create a doom worthy rig.

I mentioned the Off Topic forum in my reply. Your post makes no sense, but very little of what I read here from teens does.

the gear page...for Fenders, the Fender Forum. Birds and Moons for PRS fans. There is a Tele forum, etc...Gear page is mostly higher end, with a low "dem youts" component...

gbase.com for lists of vintage and used stuff...

*insert moogboy joke here*

Well thank you for noting my age, however it is still possible for a teenager to make sense. You want sense, then you bring your sheetmusic and I'll bring my copy of Mozart's k331--we can go over music theory--chord progressions, accompaniment, melody and motif, you name it. (I'd warn you it is rather long).

Sorry for being inobservant. My fault. I should read thoroughly before I quote in a thread about guitars.

+1

There is cyberfret, however you will get a lot of n00bs asking the same old silly questions you've heard a thousand times. There is ultimate guitar, however, from what I've seen everyone that posts there is a teenager. If you want mature-natured posts and GOOD links to awesome guitarists, go to sevenstring.org. They DO have a 6 string forum also.

As a guitar player I can tell you....there isn't an equivalent! The Music Players Forums are the closest that I've found.
