My band, SoulCoustic, had it's second live gig last night and along with the great fun jamming, we had a very special guest join us.

Matthew Von Doran - who has played with folks like Dizzy Gillespie, Jimmy Haslip and more sat in and made last night's show extra cool!
My guitar player has a knack for meeting really cool musicians and happened to meet Matt a while back. As our band's philosophy dictates, he extended an open invitation to Matt to sit in anytime he wanted. Well last night he took us up on the offer.
What a pleasure it was to jam with Matt! And what an honor! He was very complimentary (I'm sure he was being kind) but he told me between sets that he hasn't had that much fun in a long time and was really enjoying our thing and he stayed and jammed with us for the entire show! It was a guitar player's wet dream with 4 (yes, I said 4) guitar players shooting out all night long!
