What makes country drumming sound "country"?

I'm currently listening to "Railroad Man" off the new Eels album, which has this country-ish drum beat going on. I can play a bunch of simple drum lines (and what I can't play I can program) and was wondering how to come up with drum beats that sound "country". As far as I know, country rhythms always seem to have a 16th note pulse, more snare hits than rock grooves and very simple bass drum patterns. Any advice on how to understand country beats? Lots of thanks in advance.

Lots of shuffles in country.....also a lot of train beats...and quite a few "snare rides" (basically playing the ride cymbal pattern on the snare...along with the normal snare beat)

Thanks for the advice, guys, I'm gonna check whether there are songs with country drumming in the tab collection that came with Guitar Pro. What are some artists and songs to look for? Perhaps it has their tabs.
