I also think that the hip-hop on my iPod is "raw" |

a lot of other stuff i listen to is really intense, but all in different ways. Curtis Mayfield's music always seems to be really intense, yet it is hardly ever loud or fast.

Wolf Eyes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jV0AoPDqno
Merzbow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGzrL8J0t-c
Acid Mothers Temple: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1QfIUONZZw
Eyehategod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCPv8ZLTNtQ
Danava http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SINle49yNs4
But as far as a lot of brutal metal stuff (like Metallica, ), I grew tired of it. I like music that is intense, and in a sort of... trippy way, I guess... noise hippy ****, I think Eyehategod even has an interesting groove about them, but in an extreme form.
