Sounds like a generic composition from some public domain music library.
I went to school for video technology (talk about outdated, hey, it was the 80's) and radio production and the school had hundreds of these types of songs on tape for use as background music.

I'm pretty old and these old Bass lines were something that I have generally heard, but not this one. I ran across it on a YouTube video as back ground music and thought it was catchy, Flats and all.

Actually this sounds REALLY familiar, but I can't quite place it. Where did you get it? It's either the instrumental background to some 80s thing, like maybe a Sugar Hill Gang rap or something, or else it's the music to some commercial or video game or something.

I was just cruising through youtube and ran across it as background music to a a video that I can't remember.
I did ask in the comments section about it, so we will see if the poster responds

There isn't one sound on there that is not keyboard generated. I'm pretty sure those guitar sounds are keys as well, but if not, then those are the only ones that aren't

I think someone else mentioned that also, well it could be but I don't care. I like it and it could be played on a bass as well even if it is indeed played on a synthesizer?
That's why I asked if any knew the name, so I could find out more about it.

I'm willing to wager a name could be very difficult. In my (admittedly old) experience, music library music songs often have generic names like "Happy Rock #7". If it is from a library it may be difficult to get a name.

I agree except the Bass line (only part I'm interested in) is pretty spicy, I have never heard any of those "ML" songs with a really good line. (May just be me)
