What online store are you using now...

Now that Musicians Friend/Music123 are screwed up with delays at their new warehouse where is everyone doing their online shopping? Having no assurance of orders being shipped for as long as a week to 10 days is no way for anyone to do business. SamAsh doesn't to carry as much product as MF and Zzounds is even worse. And, while I do like to support my local mom & pop shop, they have less selection than all of them! So where are you doing your online shopping these days or are you just biting the bullet and putting up with MF's fisaco?

I don't buy music gear like I buy groceries, so a little delay doesn't bother me. For strings, I usually go to www.juststrings.com.

I placed an assorted order with American Music Supply, and everything went smoothly.

There is also Sweetwater music. Great store.

What are you looking for that you can't find at SamAsh or Zzounds?

And eBay has quite a few reputable stores that carry pretty much anything you could need.

Good luck.

Sweetwater is pretty good, as is samedaymusic.com.

American Musical has always been my first choice, even before the inter-web-thingy came about.

I just ordered an Ashdown MAG 210T Deep Bass Cabinet from American Music Supply (to supplement my Electric Blue 180-15" combo).... it got there TOO fast... I am on vacation, and have been watching these B-stocks at zzounds, AMS and Sameday Music.... It appears that zzounds and Sameday are the same outfit, as the "Only 3 left" thing popped up at the same time... I wonder if AMS is the same outfit as those guys, due to similarities in price and wording... Anyhow, I am not getting home til Monday, but did not want to miss the $180 shipped price on the B Stock when I saw the "only 3 left" (only 1 left now, and new is $250) so ordered it. They said they could not hold it for a couple days. Luckily I have an understanding neighbor who gets my packages a lot....

I try to stick with the local independents as much as I possibly can, even if it means paying a couple of % points higher than online. In many cases, once you eliminate the shipping the local shops are a lot closer (price-wise)than you might think

There are times when they need to special order stuff, but I'm usually not in a huge hurry. One of the few online places I do use a lot is JustStrings.com, mostly because of my odd-ball string requirements ....

Dude that delay CRAPPED on us when we ordered new bass drum mics, hoping they'd arrive in time for our block party gig two weekends ago. We got them THIS WEEK.

Ugh.

Sweetwater, AMS, 8th Street, Northern Sound and Light, and RMC Audio (Rik's Music) have all been good for me. Don't forget Bass Central and The Perfect Bass, too.

i think the deals at the perfect bass, especially with the talkbass discount are unbeatable. 2 sets of strings shipped form them(dr high beems) costs about 30% less than buying two sets at guitar center. quite a ncie deal.
