Question What single vocalist is your all time favorite ?

Sign in to disble this ad
If you could only choose ONE vocalist to call your all time favorite who would it be ? Without a doubt I would have to say mine is James Hetfield. What that Man can do to me with his voice no one has ever come close to doing with their hands.

Single, you say..?

Absolutely Celine Dion. I refuse to recognize her so-called 'marriage' to that old guy, 'cause he's not me.

Tough question, so I'm going to cheat and give one for each sex

Male = John Cafferty
Female = Alison Krauss

James LaBrie.

For a while it was kinda shaky, especially the first time I saw him live. He did what he had to, but it wasn't amazing, it was just good and fitting of the music.

The second time I saw him live, he sent shivers down my spine, then back up. Amazing stuff. From heavy, brutal metal vocals to absolutely beautiful ballad singing. Amazing singer.

I think words get in the way of the music.

Hard to say, but right now I'm leaning towards Mike Patton. The man can do lots with his voice.

Freddie Mercury, of course. Nils Frykdahl is pretty cool too.

Well, not always necessarily for their ability or quality of vocal, but I really like Thom Yorke of Radiohead. The emotion behind his delivery is what sells me. A second would be Rob Dickinson (yes, Bruce Dickinson's cousin) from the band Catherine Wheel. Great, quasi operatic rock vocals.

Mike Patton definately. Ultra-soulful and he does a lot, lot of different styles and experimental music. He raised the bar a long time ago and I have yet to hear anyone else who impresses me so much.
