A buddy of mine and I have been thinking about doing just an acoustic duo to make a few bucks to put towards recording costs, and are trying to come up with some classic rock covers to entertain the crowd.
We've got bands like Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, and CCR, but after that, I'm kinda stumped. Any suggestions?

But seriously, no matter how cool a song is, it will suck if you butcher the vocals. Especially in an acoustic duo. |

Depending on the venue (apparently, every place in Massachusetts), southern rock goes over good, Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, and especially Marshall Tucker have a few that would sound good acoustic. And thinking a little more, the Eagles. |

If you go this route remember that you don't have to do the songs exactly as they were recorded..... you can even change the style or mood, if it suits you.
