On the SX site you can pick up some reasonable gigbags or even hardcases for no more than fifty bux. Plenty of room in there, too.

The Rockbags are great. Not too expensive and well padded.

I use Mono bags, which I think are the best bags on the planet, but they're expensive.

Don't buy a bag from Rondo. They're cheap and not well padded at all. They're good for storage, but not for transport. However, the hard cases from Rondo are great. They are inexpensive but well-built.

+1 for the Carvin! For $44 it is an incredible value. I've had a Rock Bag and I was very disappointed. It was no where near as heavy duty as my Carvin bag.

I got a gig bag for my bass from MF, an elite bass gig bag in tweed for 30 bucks. I think it's pretty nice. They have several colors. I'm happy even though I am going to RMA the bass.
