Help!

I'm a music major from Kansas University. THe campus, people, and professors are wonderful here... however they DO NOT have an electric bass program. I'm currently learning upright which is a blast, but electric is and will always be my first love.

What are some good schools that i could look into for electric bass? I've heard Miami, North Texas, and Belmont in Nashville. Any suggestions? Personal experience? Thank you to anyone who replies.

Check out where I work, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville www.siue.edu This school has a very strong program in Jazz and Performance, Music Business, and Education. Tom Kennedy is among the electric bass faculty. Another great teacher is Zeb Briskovitch. Check it out! Even history professors like me slap a decent bass.
