What are some of your favorite song intros? Listening to the car radio today when the strains of White Rabbit filled the car. No matter how many times I hear it that intro just slays me. It got me to thinking about what other peoples' fave intros are. Here are a couple of mine from the classic rock genre, but any style song intros are welcome. White Rabbit Gimme Shelter Billie Jean Shine On You Crazy Diamond ( Are all those instrumental parts before the verses considered an intro?) Love to hear what you guys think! |

Hmmm. Definitely gotta throw in Sweet Child of Mine Enter the Sandman Smell Like Teen Spirit How about the intro to Black Sabbath's first album? I can tell you that as a 12 year old kid, hearing this for the first time, that it changed me somehow forever. There was simply nothing like it when it came out. |

Europe - The Final Countdown :hiding: Seriously though for me the one all time fave would have to be Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. That ushered in a whole new outlook on music for me and many kids growing up in the 90's at the time. Very powerful start of a song. |
