I really don`t know what to learn after this, I`ve passed the whole month playing it and after some hours per week I nail the tune note per note and with a nice and consisten groove.
What song do you recomend me to learn???
I would like something I can read I always like to read when practising and perhaps if you share your experience I get new ideas of what you learn after what is hip. |

What I like I'm sure you will not. You say you like to read - read what? Tab, standard notation, fake chord or lead sheet. Give us a hint.
Never heard of "What is Hip". I did find that is the name of a song -- if you like it let Google find another one by those musicians.
Good luck. |

| | | | If you can nail What is Hip "note for note with a consistent groove"...... then the next song you play should be whatever the studio executives pay you to play. |

Personally I would go on to the whole Jamerson repertoire. |

Those will keep you busy. Also, a big +1 on the Jamerson repertoire. Pick up "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" for a good workout, from simple to truly difficult!

Also: This thread isn't about me but "Standing in the Shadows of MoTown" seems like an awesome book! Ive been transcribing his lines for a while but this makes it much easier. I just bought it!

| | | | I already have Stabding in the shadows of motown...Therefore, I love the bass lines and what Jamerson played...However I loved to play some Motown tunes, it is a bit cheesy sometimes to me and to the style of funk I like to play. I liked the bass lines but What is hip caught me in a different way...I could play it for days and I still love that song as the first day..
So perhaps I have to learn all Tower of power self titled album, what do you think about that?? |

Steve Miller's bassist is really, really good.
