What songs have you learned recently? Cover songs, original songs, theater, orchestral, whatever. It is always interesting to see what other bass players are learning.
I always enjoy learning songs and fine tuning them into our show and see how the audience responds to them. I play in 3 piece party rock cover band and we all are lead singers and we play a huge mixture of tunes from 6 decades and we are always looking at songs that will work well for us. Recently, we decided to add a few songs with a country rock flavor to widen our setlist and they all went over great already.
Here is what we just added.
Take It Easy - Eagles
Life Is A Highway - Tom Cochrane (we do his version and the bass parts are busier) Rascal Flatts covered it recently too
