| | | | Ofcourse I am after the brand, anyone with two eyes and a brain could tell its a leather strap. |

I wasn't insulting him, I was stating he had two eyes and a brain.
2. He was no help and neither are you.
3. Any Pantera fan or Rex Brown fan might be able to locate the brand name. Alternativly, the specific look, softnest and cut of the leather (which is what appeals to me) could be signature to a specific strap company which I am not aware of, hence the purpose of this thread. |

| | | | Dude I have no attitude. I just dont understand why people like you go around looking at threads and write irrelevant posts talking about people's attitude? Do you like looking for fights or something or are you a moderator? 3 people have already tried to help and i appreciate it. |

But in the spirit of me being a nice guy...I did several google searches - that is not info that seems to be readily available - the strap he's using. That said, Levy's makes some nice, wide (3", 3.5", 4") leather straps that have this same look. You can find them on the web.
Rex's assumed bankroll and the lack of any markings on the strap lend to the distinct possibility that this thing is custom.
See if you can find who sponsors him...

If it was a brand name, it would be displayed right above the front strap button. I see nothing, so it's probably a custom cut leather strap, not unusual for a professional to have, and not cheap to have just one made. Pros tend to order a dozen or so at a time, one for each axe. Look around in http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f129/, you just might find what you're looking for.
Maybe here, http://www.lakotaleathers.com/Guitar_Straps_DZGB.php

I have to go look again now!

I have to go look again now! | That was a guess on my part. Though I think it's a good chance that's the case.
I had a great strap made at, of all places a saddle repair place. I guess the real term is a tack shop. The maker used old leather that was no good for a saddle. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
