I'm looking for a strap for my new G & L SB-2. If you could only buy 1 strap for your bass which one would it be? |

Are you looking for something more akin to a guitar strap or one of those 3" wide mamma jammas? I'd personally go with the latter, it's less prone to damage and is a lot more comfortable.

I only use the Levys Kokopelli leather straps. I just ordered another one for my other Wick. Different color though. They cost around 50 bucks, and they are great. I also have a thing for kokopelli!

It's fairly comfortable; but nowhere near as comfortable as my Comfort Strapps (which I use on all my other basses).

I have a Comfort Strapp and was wondering if the leather would be better. Apparently not.
Btw, gorgeous bass.

Btw, gorgeous bass. | Thanks. Actually, I ordered a very nice (and very expensive) Levy's MSS90 leather bass strap for it recently. When I received it, the color was nothing like it was on the website. It clashed with the bass, so I returned it and bought a few sets of Chromes instead. Figured I'd just use that old suede Levy's on it because it comes close to matching (at least from a distance).
I tell you all this because that padded leather strap was very comfortable. It's the only one I've found that rivaled the Comfort Strapp in terms of, well, comfort! But it would have cost twice what the Comfort Strapps sell for, so I'm sticking with them. (I have six of them!)
