Poll dedicated to the least flashy pedal on our pedalboards.
What tuner do we bassists use the most?

I know I couldn't possibly add all the tuners in the poll, but I tried to remember the most known ones.

Ha, FTW! I loved my Pitchblack...until I bought a Turbo Tuner.

Actually, I still like the Pitchblack very much. The TT took its place on my board, but I use the Korg the rest of the time as a stand-alone.

It also works great on my Mandobird and my daughter's gu!+@rs. For a younger, less technically-inclined player like her, the Pitchblack is just about perfect: Accurate, intuitive, and easy-to-read.

I actually use the Korg Pitchblack Plus. For a little extra money it gives you features such as an A/B pedal so you can have two instruments plugged in and switch with a flick of the button.

Planet Waves Chromatic pedal tuner. Accurate enough, but pretty slow.

Korg GA-1, but whatever it was over 10 years ago. Not a pedal, but the little hand-held one, 10 yrs ago it cost $16, now I think it's still about $15 or so. Totally cheap POS is what it is, but works well enough for gigs, and all of my amps have mute-to-tune and tuner outputs, so keeping the tuner out of my main signal path is a plus. One day I'll upgrade to a Peterson or Sonic Research- those SR tuners look very cool.

I do not use a tuner because I have no idea where it is, and when I do find it.. I always remember I do not have a battery for it. Damn 9 volts. I use my keyboard and ear to tune. Probably not the most accurate, but it works.
