What upgrade onmycorvette??

iam thinking to get active or just differntpick ups or pre amp for my corvette standard 4 string bass. I have flatwounds with fingers and sometimes apick. Please leave me some suggetsions

i like everything i just want a better DEFENTLY LOUDER sound i would like actives with a preamp too but that would pro b cost me alot.. just good overall sound.

Not good enough description to advise anything. Answer the following:

What music do you play? What do you want to sound like? (trebley, bassy, muddy) Who has a tone you like? What are your settings on your amp? What strings are you using? How old are they? Is your bass setup with low or high action? Where you pluck the strings?
