"Soldiers Under Command" was their best cd and they were really good live. They started going downhill with "To Hell with the Devil" Just like all the music during that time, it was overproduced and too glossy.

I have to disagree with TNT, Ronni Le Tekro was a badass on guitar Tony Harnell had a great voice and they had very catchy, well written songs.

I also disagree with the Bon Jovi vote, they were never really hair metal and are still around making hits after 20 years.

For me, it was pretty much anything with a synthesizer. Bon Jovi was the epitome of the 80's hair band. Most of the fans they have today are the ones they had 20 years ago.

Europe! blah and I'll vote for Britany Fox too!
White Lion. I'm glad James Lomenzo's still working though!

I didn't like Winger as a band and Kip and his ballet dancing on stage, but he's a great composer.

I'll give runner-up status to Warrant, but for the double whammy of awful music and unconscionable exposure I have to go with Poison.

Anyone care to defend this band?

I watched VH1's 100 top 80's songs and it had some of the weirdest bands withe the strangest hair I've ever een.

ABC, Dee Snyder, and others.

Poison was by FAR the worst. Bringing up second would have to be Warrant.

Yup definitely Nitro.

Watch that video.

I challenge somebody to find a worse 80's hair metal video than that.

Being a teenager during the late 80's, I'm still trying to forget that hair band crap (no way I'm calling it metal). Okay maybe there was a few decent sounding bands (but still they looked stupid), but for the remaining 97%, that time period sucked!

WASP.

Just for the fact they learned the theatrical stuff from Kiss and Alice Cooper, but with none of the musicality (I can't believe I'm mentioning musicality and Kiss in the same sentence, but there are a few kiss songs I have sung along with while driving.......)
