What is your favorite bass groove/Riff/line in rock?

While there are tons of great bass lines out there.. I must say every time I hear this tune, i just freakin' crank it because it is one of the most Ballsy bass riffs in a pop/rock tune ever. Perfect attitude, perfect grindy Pbass tone, Perfect punch.. but mostly just full of in your face attitude. I don't even know who the bassist for the pretenders is but, this bass line is what rock is all about.

Name your favorite bass riff in a rock tune, please!

Mystery Achievement - The Pretenders.

Pretenders Bassist: Pete Farndon, 1952-1983. Died of drug overdose.

Pete Farndon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My randomly selected nomination that just happens to be on my mind at the moment: YouTube - The Zombies-Time Of The Season Maybe not a "riff" but the bass drives the song.

Funny that you chose Pretenders because my first thought was "My City Was Gone".

While Rogers Waters was not one of my idols growing up, I have to admit that he is great, since my first thought on this thread is Any Colour You Like, which then leads me to think of Echos and Shine on You Crazy Diamond and so many other tunes. Also, Corrosion in the Pink Room, the second half of this tune breaks into a really groovy bass riff: YouTube - ‪Pink Floyd - Corrosion In The Pink Room‬‏
